Samuel Ortiz, MD, began his medical career in Mexico in 1992 where he was an Honorable Member of the University Council and worked as a Medical Educator and Attending Physician.
In 1998, Dr. Ortiz moved to the United States to further pursue his medical education and training. While completing his Internal Medicine residency training at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, he served as Chief Resident during his third year and graduated in 2002. Dr. Ortiz was also a member of the teaching faculty of RBMC and served as Director of Medical Student Education and Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Ortiz is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Ortiz and his wife, Angelique, have three children In their spare time they enjoy biking, camping, fishing and other outdoor activities. Dr. Ortiz is bilingual.
