The 190,000-square-foot addition includes one story underground and four above, and will nearly double the size of the region's largest trauma facility. More than 200 parking spaces will also be added on the hospital’s 17-acre campus.
This expansion project will enable Central Washington Hospital to continue its tradition of excellent care to the community we serve. When finished, the tower will house 174 private rooms for patients, replacing all current beds and adding 30 more, and include a new obstetrics unit and increase the number of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds from 12 to 20.
Central Washington Hospital broke ground on August 25, 2009, and plans to complete the tower project in May 2011.
