Our Community of Donors:
Mike and Jo Ann Walker
There are few who have made as big an impact on the well-being of our community as Mike and Jo Ann Walker. Their gift of stock, valued at over $100,000, to the capital campaign is but one example of their incredible community philanthropy. The Walkers give from their hearts humbly and graciously.
Mike and Jo Ann state their reasons for their generosity with amazing simplicity:
“Our family has lived in Wenatchee for 45 years. Our children, grandchildren and Mike were all born at St. Anthony’s, Rosewood or Central Washington Hospital. Our parents received end of life care at Central Washington Hospital that was compassionate, kind and very loving.
"We feel God has abundantly blessed our lives, we are fortunate to live in this beautiful valley and the community of Wenatchee. We have the very best medical and patient care available in every sense of the word. It will only improve with the new hospital facility. We are honored to invest in our community and the new Central Washington Hospital addition.”
The Walkers are owners of the Eagle Group, a nationwide trucking and shipping company based in the Wenatchee Valley. Over the last 25 years, the couple has donated money, time and effort to scores of local causes and projects, including the Pybus Market, a new commercial hub in Wenatchee.
